Private portfolio review

Private
Portfolio Review

For photographers and image-makers who have become too close to their own work to see it clearly.

I do not teach camera technique.

I look at the photographs themselves — what belongs, what repeats, what interrupts the work, what carries weight, and where the work may be trying to go.

The edit

What I
look for.

A review can look at:

  1. which photographs truly belong
  2. which photographs repeat what has already been said
  3. which images weaken the sequence
  4. where the rhythm breaks
  5. where a quieter image may matter more than the obvious hero shot
  6. whether imperfection gives something back to the work
  7. how the series should begin and end
  8. whether the work has found its own voice
  9. what may still need to be photographed

Contact sheet

One edit,
start to finish.

30 photographs → 12 selected → final sequence

Thirty frames from one body of work. Twelve stay. The notes on the sheet show how I make editing decisions — what I keep, what I remove, what I move, and why.

Final sequence

Twelve,
in order.

Who it is for

Too many images,
no distance.

Photographers. Visual artists. AI image-makers. People developing a photo series, preparing a portfolio, or sitting with a folder of images they can no longer judge clearly.

You do not need to photograph like UNTUANBLUR. The purpose of the review is not to make your photographs look like mine. It is to help you see more clearly what is already present in your own work.

The eye behind it

An independent
photographer.

UNTUANBLUR is an independent photographic practice concerned with memory, intimacy, presence, imperfection, and whatever light is already there. No studio. No crew. No setup.

I work with what is already happening — available light, real spaces, movement, hesitation, distance, accidents, and moments that cannot be repeated.

I shoot quickly and often in bursts. Then I choose slowly. For every photograph that remains, there are many more I let go. The review is that second half of the work — the choosing — applied to your photographs instead of mine.

Selected works were exhibited in Soi Yen Akat, Bangkok, in 2019.

Send a short introduction and tell me what you are working on. You do not need to have a finished portfolio. A group of photographs, an unfinished project, or work-in-progress is enough.

Tell me which review you are interested in, and I will reply with how to send the photographs and how to pay.
